At The Dublin School of Millinery, our love for all things hat-related drive us to inspire those who wish to learn this unique craft.  Our team of highly accomplished milliners teach design, technique, and skills in the many diverse areas of hat making.  We offer support and inspiration throughout your millinery learning experience, with an emphasis on allowing you to explore your creative side.

With over 15 dedicated hat making classes plus a variety of specialised workshops we offer a comprehensive range of diversified courses from traditional to modern, to suit all interests.  Through a hands on experience, students are educated in understanding millinery fabrics and specialist techniques.  We are committed to teaching an array of students from the fervent hobbyist to the budding new designer.

The school is built on the industry experience, accomplishments and artistry of its founder Laura Kinsella.  Laura initially worked in accessory design and womenswear after graduating from Limerick School of Art and Design, and spent 4 years administering and teaching at The Irish School of Millinery and Jewellery Design (a.k.a. Beads and Bling) in Dublin.

Since beginning her eponymous label in 2013 Laura has been crowned Breakthrough Designer of the Year 2014, and Milliner of the Year 2015 at Kerry Fashion Week, and has been featured in Create, an initiative showcasing extraordinary Irish design talent in Brown Thomas Dublin. Notably Laura has collaborated on 2 seasons with renowned Irish designer Danielle Romeril. During ID2015 she was chosen to exhibit at the International Fashion Showcase at London Fashion Week in the curated exhibition ‘In the Fold’, and in an on schedule presentation in the designer showrooms at London Fashion Week showcasing her spring/summer 2016 collection.
